This is a continuation from the previous episode, a story about Shinichi, in his 40s, who divorced his ex-wife Yuki and has been living with his son Eiji at his parents’ house. However, recently his ex-wife, who has remarried, has resumed contact with Eiji, which Shinichi finds annoying. By the time Eiji enters his third year of junior high school, Shinichi’s parents tell him that there is an important matter to discuss. The situation suddenly changes, with Shinichi feeling left behind as his parents plan to sell the house, Eiji prepares to attend a distant high school, and his ex-wife has a new baby. 前回からの続き。数年前の話です。俺は40代のシンイチ。元妻のユキエと離婚をして、息子のエイジと両親のいる実家で暮らしてきた。しかし最近、再婚した元妻がエイジとの交流を再開して俺は正直面白くない。そしてエイジが中学3年になる頃、両親から「大切な話がある」と言われた。
両親がこの家を売る？ エイジが遠く離れた高校へ行く？ そして元妻が新しい赤ん坊を産んだ？ どうして俺だけが何も変わっていないのか……どうして俺だけが取り残されているのか……。事態の急変に俺はついていくことができなかった。
